Having met the author of these books: http://www.perilouspress.com/books.html recently, and having loved the books, I thought I’d do a t-shirt design for him. I got carried away and made a fully photo-real model in ZBrush. Both the ZBrush original and the Maxwell Render final are attached.
I had a great time modeling this. I used both Goodfellow’s description of the creature and photographs of Ascaris lumbricoides as the basis for the sculpture. The model is 100% ZBrush. I started with Z-Spheres and worked from there.
I finally feel like I’m getting a good enough handle on workflow to show off my results here. There’s just so much amazing work posted!
