can Someone please point me in the direction of a web site that Does Rapid prototyping. i have searched and searched. and can’t find a single site that does it. at least in any type of convenient manner.
i would like a site, where you can place a request, send in the file and pay.
I intended on getting a sculpture done as a Christmas gift, but have been completely un able to even come close to finding a company that easly offers the service.

I only know of one of the statue making companies. I can’t remember if I saw it on here or another site I’m on. But they sounded pretty decent so I saved the link. Unfortunately the most I can do is give the link, can’t say anything about quality since that’s not the kind of RP I’ve had done.
Edit: Apparently they also have the names of some other companies that do more complicated stuff than collectibles/statues on their front page.
uh yeah… ive been bogged down with work lately guys. hmm…its the 11th right now. getting one done before christmas is gonna be tough at this point. can probably ship before christmas but with christmas shipping loads… probably won’t arrive before christmas unless you get it done somewhere local.
doing a print involves a lot of prep work and a lot of post finishing.
other than ownage… moddler, protodemon, and offload are all good places. moddler in san fran. offload and protodemon in vancouver i think. in the LA area… you can probably hit up crystalline or morpheus. atlanta… quickparts. etc etc.
a good alternative for local DIY prints is to hit up a local hackerspace or fablab. these are worldwide co-ops that let u use machines for free or very very low cost. they often will have a okay resolution FDM machine that you can extrude a 3d print from. this can be decent in most cases.
