Quick trees.

1 layer,
first make a reasonably branched zsphere, all you need are extruding from the top sphere until you get the outer branches all around the model.
Color the adaptive skin a base color. Place on the canvas.
Then make the leaves, model a single leaf into the basic shape of a generic leaf and turn on mod>texture colorize. Choose some coloring.
Then take the spray stroke  and fill the tree. That’s all there is to it and perhaps choose a toon shading modifier, (I did).
Now that we have leaves on the top of our tree, go over the trunk with the 3d brush to add some texture to it and around.
Grab the tree, you can either take 2 values - the very light tree type texture as you can see and the shaded one, incorporating all the texturing you have applied to the tree. I made use of both in my image.
Select the alpha with corresponding texture and the drag rectangle stroke at maximum intensity and place your trees.
Now you can make a whole sort of friendly trees.

I have left the original leaf and then dropped several little ones towards the ground. Hope you enjoy this image and find this a useful mini-tutorial.

Hi Gummie
It’s like stained-glass windows or wax painting :+1:
Very lightning !
Pilou

Nice effect, very textural.
:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

looks (and sounds) :+1: :+1: :+1: very cool.

a tiny addition to the zspherepart of your mini-tut: with the help of radial symetry any number up to ? (havent checked, but believe its 32 :)) base branches can be done with 2 moves (create and move)! then decrease number of radial-symetry in several steps to move/size/rotate half, a third, some, one of the branches only to individualize them

Nice effect and technique, Gummie. Thanks for sharing. :+1:

More trees, this time using more layers and snapshoting individual 3d tree branches.
I used your radial symmetry tip Juandel, although the spray brushed leaves covered up most of them.
I couldn’t really make up my mind towards making it rain so I came up with this effect instead.

These are extra cool Gummie-I especially like the top image.Well done.

Hey these are wicked, i might have to try something like that! good job

:small_orange_diamond:E

The result is great !!

Positivly near Art Deco style :+1:
Pilou :sunglasses:

Another one using 2d painted trees with spray leaves.

enchanted forest in different seasons  very cool style, gummie!

I really like the third one best. Rich coloring and nice scene set up. thnx for the tips

Very interesting! you folks have very short memories! the use of the spray brush in the creation of trees was demonstrated months ago.
DeeVee.

Agreed, Joe, in fact I can remember at least two such posts, each very different in their approach. This thread I think shows yet another quite distinct result (unless you are thinking of yet another previous thread).
