Today I discovered that I did something stupid. Imagine that! ME doing something stupid!
Ok so I have been working on something using Dynamesh and as I work I have been increasing the size of it as I need more resolution. At about four million polygons I started haveing a LOT of lag, stuttering from my brushes, and that incessant line that appears when you are sculpting…
Overall ZBrush seemed very sluggish and rebooting my computer didn’t help (My god, its not microsoft’s fault this time!!!).
It turned out that at some early stage I had put on Dynamic Subdivision, I dont remember doing this and I dont know if there’s a hotkey for it that Im unaware of, but killing it off fixed everything.
So there you have it, if ZBrush seems to be dragging make sure that Dynamic Subdivision is off.
And now back to being stupid!
Cheers!
