So much time has passed. Tech support is on vacation or something? 
The next release will be addressing this. That’s all I can say at this time.
It would be nice if you could enable and disable transparency option model three topologies. Personally, I do not see any benefit from the transparency of the mesh in ZBrush 4R3
that the tablet has something to do with the problem! also points sinking below mesh and cannot move! Do you have a tablet?

After going crazy with the retopo tool in zbrush ! I Switched to topogun, its very inexpensive and a great tool! Z brush should do away with their topo tool! They have alot of other great features ! but the topo tool lacks, even if it did not crash or cause other problems, it is still slow compared to topogun ! Check it out! Dale
Excellent program topogun. Too easy but I vesht handier topology Zbrush 3.5R3)) I know, things are changing and becoming obsolete and replaced. But tastes are)
My main Program is Cinema 4d, they came out with sculpting in their latest ver R14, but I purchased z brush last year, and painstakinly learned it, now I still use zbrush to sculpt in,as it is the best sculpting program, I believe! It is possible to retopo in c4d by snaping polys to surface ! It is still clumsy compared to topogun! After spending several hours retopo and crash in zbrush! And to do the same retopo in an hour in topogun! Time saved says, 100 dollars is definattly worth it! Im am using R4r4 and the crashes still happened with it! Hope ya get it worked out! DJ
