Question: Can spotlight image positions be scripted?

I’d like to write a zscript to store a positioned spotlight texture’s parameters (position, rotation, scale) and then select another texture in spotlight and have a script give the same params to the new texture.

Why do this? I have a greyscale depthmap of a surface, and the corresponding color (diffuse) of that surface, and I’d like to paint/sculpt those to align precisely.

I can do this in mudbox, but thus far zbrush seems lacking in the mudbox-like “stencil” department. I’m hoping a little scripting might help out.

Any ideas?

I don’t think it’s possible to script Spotlight. :frowning:

Thats what I suspected. It didn’t look like there were any new script hooks added for zb4, so it was a long shot.

Thanks for replying!
