Hello, I cannot get my ZScripts to load. I’m using a Mac. I created a ZPlugs folder in my ZStartup folder. Downloaded new versions of various ZScripts. Restarted ZBrush, tried using the load button under the ZScript button, etc. Any help would be appreciated.
Which zscripts are you trying to load? ZScripts that are designed as ‘plugins’ and are installed in the ZStartup/ZPlugs folder should load automatically. Their buttons will be in the ZPlugin palette (or sometimes elsewhere - see their documentation as to where).
Are you trying to run plugins designed for ZBrush 3 or 3.1? Those are intended for the PC version of ZBrush and almost certainly will not work with ZBrush 2, PC or Mac.

Marcus and Svenjolly, Thank you both for responding. I have been able to get ZMats to load, but I have to do it manually. It does not load each time I start ZBrush. Reference Image is a plug in that I have used in the past, but it has never loaded on start up, and now, since a recent clean install of ZBrush, will not even load manually. ZappLink, which I have also successfully used in the past, will not load manually or automatically on start-up either. Ditto for image plane. I’m posting a jpeg of my file system.
I am careful to only download the plug ins for Mac.
All other elements of ZBrush seem to be working fine.

I think the problem is that you are not installing them correctly. It looks as though your unzipping program is creating an extra folder. For example, if you look inside the ZStartup/ZPlugs/Refimage folder I think you’ll find a RefImage.zsc file and a RefImage_Data folder. Move both those into the ZPlugs folder and I think Reference Image will then work. You’ll need to do the same for the other plugins.
Basically, each plugin will have a .zsc file that should be in the ZPlugs, not inside a folder within the ZPlugs folder. The plugin may or may not have folders of its own.
Marcus,
I’ve made the changes you’ve suggested and have uploaded a new screenshot to show. I can’t get ZPlugs to load manually either. Should I try deleting the Zplugs folder and starting from scratch? Thanks again for your continued indulgence.

You don’t seem to have moved the data folders out of the extra folders. This is what your ZPlugs folder should look like (though I don’t have the Alpha Browser):
Marcus, that did the trick! Thanks for babysitting me!
