<center><font size=3>Introducing <font size=5><font color=#FFA000>Quad</font>Quick</font> – multiple view port modeling for ZBrush</font>

There have been numerous requests over the last year or so for multiple view port modeling in ZBrush. Now, with <font color=#FFA000>Quad</font>Quick, you can have it! This powerful utility allows you to display your model from four different views while you work:

      :small_blue_diamond: Isometric
      :small_blue_diamond: Top
      :small_blue_diamond: Right
      :small_blue_diamond: Front

All four views can be displayed at the same time:

Or you can switch to enlarge a single view port:

Here are a few of the features:

:small_orange_diamond:Customizeable backgrounds allow import of a reference picture for use while modeling. Each quadrant can be assigned its own background.
:small_orange_diamond:Transform mode is remembered when you switch between views. For example, if you have the Rotate Gyro active when you switch views, it will still be active in the new view. This holds true for all gyros, Edit&gt;Draw mode and Edit&gt;Move mode.
:small_orange_diamond:Refresh button refreshes the model in all four quadrants or returns you to Quad view from Single view.
:small_orange_diamond:When using the Refresh button to switch out of Single view, the active view is remembered when you switch back to Quad view. So if you're working in a Single view of the Front and switch back to Quad view, the Front quadrant will automatically be active. And it will still remember your Transform mode!
:small_orange_diamond:Built-in tutorial explains the basics for those who wish to dive right in.
:small_orange_diamond:Comprehensive PDF User's Guide explains the script at length for those who want more details or would like to have something to refer to while they work.
     :small_orange_diamond:It's <b>FREE!</b> :)

Happy modeling!

Aurick:

Spectacular enhancement for ZBrush. Does ZScript recording work properly if you are switching views?

Bruce, Gregory

Cheers aurick dude, I think we all needed a pickmeup, this looks fabulous

You know, Bruce, I really don’t know! That’s probably the only thing that I haven’t tested. I believe that it would, provided that you start the recording before you load QuadQuick and then the person playing the recording back loads QuadQuick when the recording calls for it. But that’s something that would have to be tested.

i haven’t checked it all out but i thought you should know you need to put the QQTemplate inside the folder…
error on show and tell…
looks cool tho.
when extracted you get a Folder and QQTemplate on the out side

Fixed. Thank you, EZ. WinZip does some strange things sometimes.

you need to Disable the ( Refreash) button UNTIL the other one is seleteted First on top.
because if you load the Model and THEN hit refreah you will get a error

Wooheee!! I’d pretty much resigned myself that this was the one thuing ZBrush was never gonna be able to do. The BEST keeps getting BETTER. :} Jim

Wow! Way cool. This is going to be great! thanks.

OK. For anyone who has downloaded before this moment, you can either download it again or open the script and change

[VarDef,View]

to be

[VarDef,View,4]

It’s within the first 20 lines of the script, and will prevent the error that EZ encountered. If you press Refresh before selecting a view for the first time, it will automatically activate the Front quadrant after Refreshing.

I don’t think anyone caught that before because everyone testing it chose a view after starting rather than refreshing. After all, there are no changes to refresh yet!

Pure Genius Aurick! How cool is this!!!

you can use this if you deside to need it
:small_orange_diamond:DoubleRotate.txt
you can Roatate and Veiw at the Same Time.
Both images

When I press the refresh button (using an imported object) I repeatedly get a “specified item within the list is empty” error (Var, view)". Also, the quadrant where I originally draw the object seems to retain both the original drawn object and an overlaid one. Neither error is affecting the functionality. Stii VCool!. Jim

Jim, my last post addresses that first problem. Either redownload the script or change the one line of code.

The second issue is because you’re not supposed to draw the object! The script draws the object for you and places it in Edit Mode so that you can sculpt it. Please follow the instructions in the Show Me or the User’s Guide.

That’s seems less poetic than the instinctive mouse rotation in Edit mode (T)but very useful and reassuring for the engineer
Bravo for the script
Pilou “°O°”

This is a great addition!

THANK YOU AURIK!

Just as i got a really good flow rotating my objects

fabulous enhancement :+1: :+1:

WOW factor of 10X!

A fantastic addition to an already fantastic application! Well done and keep uo the great addons!

When the UV tiles mapping “issue” is fixed, I am gonna be a very happy boy!

Regards,
Zendoftheworld…
