Project all!

Hello!

Sorry, maybe, it is newbie question.

Please, tell me, is it necessary to do “Project All” with each SubD or I can choose to the highest SubD and to do “Project All” once?

Thanks.

It all depends on how accurate a projection you want. If you want accuracy, then projecting each subd level is advisable. You will get a better result. If you’re not too fussy, you can do it once and then use the ZProject brush to touch up areas you want.

Do you want to say that there is a difference in geometry, if I will use Project All with each SubD level and only the highest level? I thought they both had showed me the same result.

It looks maybe similar, but if you have important details, the projection quality is much better when you project each subdivision level, one by one.
There my also come the situation, where you maybe want to sculpt your mesh on a lower Subdivision without touching finest details at the higher levels. Now imagine, that only the highest level are accurate in shape…

I see… Thanks.
