Hi,
So in the past, I normally would take my fully formed model ( 2 million polys - muscles & skin folds only) and take it into Mari to apply XYZ textures to it to create the scales, etc…
My workflow has been:
Zbrush to Maya, create uvs 20 Udims , import to Mari for paint & bumps, / Import to Maya for rendering.
However, I sculpted in zbrush a highly detailed model (100 million polys) scales, etc…
I want to paint in Mari and use the cavity & bump maps from my zbrush model.
Question:
So how do you create 20 udims from your highly detailed model from zbrush?
What is the normal pipeline from zbrush to Mari?
