Problems with "Apply DispMap"

Hi!

So I´m getting into terrain modeling, and I´m trying to create a quick wall just by using a displacement map. The problem here comes when I use the apply DispMap, it just resizes, destroying all the previous adjustments I have chosen.

I´m new to this feature, so I have to be missing something

If I had to guess based on the limited information here, I’d guess you made some adjustments to the Hrepeat and Vrepeat sliders in the UV> Projection menu? These change the display of the texture with those UVs but do not alter the actual UVs. When you click apply map it is looking at the actual UVs . I’m afraid this approach will not work in this situation for what you’re trying to do directly. You would need to create a displacement map that already has that visual information baked into it as image detail.
