Problem with Zsphere Tree when turned to adaptative skin

Hello,
I’m having a strange bug with a tree I’m modeling with Zspheres which has unwanted geometry when turned to adapative skin.
Maybe someone will knwo what’s happening, I tweaked all adapative skin parameters but it’s always the same.
I also checked for duplicate spheres, or any modeling mistakes…

Thanks in advance!
David

Thanks, I already tried this plugin, though It’s not going to solve my problem, is it?

Try “Use Classic Skinning” yet? (It’s lower down in that panel)

Yep, I tried all “Adaptative skin” options I’m afraid

This Happens when you have two ZSpheres that are too close together… Even if it’s not the one you think it’s giving you problems… I think you probably have a couple of tiny ZSpheres inside some bigger ones… And I think they probably are in the ends. If you look closer to your mesh. The caps of those branches end with a weird shape… You have to delete those problematic zspheres…

Thanks for the hint
Unfortunatly I almost delete all spheres and the problem still occures
I’m afraid there’s a problem with this file
Well I guess I’ll have to start again
May it be caused bythe fact that I turned some of the spheres?

Can I take a look at the file?

Sure!

The file appears to have got stuck in “Classic Skinning” mode. (I’ve seen this problem before but I don’t know what causes it.) It’s generally easier to keep Classic mode off - the mesh will be cleaner. I’ve copied the zspheres so that Classic mode is off and the mesh is clean again.

You’re the best!
Thank you so much guys!
