Problem with the Smooth Brush and Hide Subtools

Hi everyone someone know why when I press Shift instead of smoothing is masking my model or somthing like that? Thank You very much for reading :D. if someone knows how can I hide subtools, thank you very much

I know the model is horrible but I need the answer to fix it xD

your smooth brush is smoothing.

you need to open up the subtool panel and click on the eyeball to hide the subtool you don’t want to see.

Also you might want to lower the smoothing intensity.
