Problem with a smooth model from Zbrush to Marmoset / Maya

Hello everyone,
I created a model in Zbrush, sculpted, uv, etc etc.

When I export (FBX or OBJ) the model with the subdivision level to 0 in Marmoset or Maya and add the subdivision to 2 , the model is different from when it is in Zbrush with the same subdivision level.

I am attaching a couple of screenshots to better understand the problem

Can we get a look at the topology (polyframe) in each program please? You can omit any other models from the screenshots to reduce clutter.

Some possible explanations include:

  • the model in ZBrush has creasing assignments which will influence the way it is smoothed, and this creasing was not recreated in the external program

  • the external program is using a smoothing algorithm other than Catmull-Clark

  • an import setting in the external program has altered the topology in some way. Try exporting the subdivided mesh from ZBrush and compare the topology to the mesh that has been subdivided in the external program. Is it identical?
