I’m trying to paint with a alpha and texture turned on at the same time. The alpha is acting on the texture making it lighter. Is there a setting to keep the alpha from affecting the texture. If not, than any suggestion on how to accomplish the same result I’m trying for would be appreciated. Preferably a quick way since I want to be able to lay down many instances. Thanks in advance for any advice.
apply 1 stroke as you have
then turn off Zadd
repeat stroke (1) or in the stroke panel.
Not the best solution, but it is one anyway.
Thank you for the reply. That will surely accomplish what I need for this project. Is there a way to post requests or suggestions for future revisions of ZBrush. I feel an addition of a setting to disable the effect of the alpha on the texture would really be useful for speeding this process up.
you can write/record a macro for it. really easy to do actually. I have one…somewhere, probably doesn’t work in z42 though and I haven’t had a need to remake it.
Not sure if there is an actual place to submit things to the team. Marcus or Aurick would/should know I would think. A quick google search would probably bring up something as well. You might also have to do it through support…eh, talking out my ass now.
