Problem adaptative skin

Hi! after finishing the model with z spheres, I try to use the adaptive skin and it deforms the project, what could be going wrong?

@laroci

Is your goal to have a DynaMeshed version of your zspheres? I usually set the Dynamesh Resolution to 0 so it is basic polygons. One of the down sides to DynaMesh if you have a low resolution setting is it will weld parts of the mesh together if its to close. If you want it to be a DynaMesh you might need to turn the Resolution up a bit more.

I think if you turn down the DynaMesh to 0 you get an easier mesh to work with that isn’t DynaMeshed. The Density setting should give you some subdivisions to, and you can zremesh the mesh better topology to work with zspheres tend to make strange loops where limbs meet the torsos so I like to zremesh them after I make an adaptive skin.

As for the strange thing happening on the head I think either there some kind of twist in the spheres that can cause the mesh get tighter at the joints of the spheres and twist the mesh it generates. Or its looking for another sphere, you could try added an extra sphere on to the head and see if it will maintain the shape better.

Just so you know these are all random theories, could be other things going on to but hopefully something in my ramblings can help.
