In 1994, I made a steel Prince Owlbert. He is the can --a can of freon, electric motor armature windings for eyes, springs for legs perched on a piece of pipe textured with weld bead to look like wood. The rest of him is dolls eyes and sheet steel splattered wit a black alkyd resin primer followed by sign painters’ enamels. Prince Owlbert is the first of my steel sculptures I attempted to reproduce in zBrush. !
