Preform Software for 3D printing

Hi, I’ve been testing Preform from Formlabs since I wanted to know how printable were the models I’ve been doing and I noticed that almost all the models that I imported were damaged and needed repair (Integrity issues as the program said).

Is there any recommendation before exporting from ZBCore or while sculpting to avoid having this “problems”.

I thank you in advance and hope you have a great day!

Cheers.

PS: I’m exporting in STL.

@HeavyBlazeNight: Formlabs’ Preform has a pretty robust mesh checking and repairing system (it’s repairing system was originally integrated from NetFab.) With the error checking being so precise it isn’t uncommon for most models that are imported into Preform to receive the repair dialog. Since it is automatic there is no reason not to run it to ensure that your models print correctly and you don’t end up wasting that precious resin

For preventative methods using Dynamesh will close holes and merge intersecting geometry together creating a watertight mesh (this is one of the core requirements for 3D Printing models.)

I see, it was pretty funny that almost all the files I imported had an “integrity issue”. Thank you Piggyson. I don’t really own a printer but was checking how the software process the models in case I upload some to a 3D model shop.
