Hi,
I’m to engrave wood by my cnc machine and I’d like to decorate it in Zbrush. This is the process that ends to the problem stated after that:
- I import OBJ from other programs (Maya, Rhino, Solidworks) into Zbr
- Subidividing, I get a slight change in the original object size
- I do the sculpting and export back from Zbr (Goz or OBJ)
Problem:
in the original program, I receive a slightly resized (smaller) object
I also tried to crease hard edges by Rhino -> [OBJ] -> Maya -> [Ma] -> ZBrush, then back to Rhino I had 1mm less from the radius of a circular object of 25mm radius.
Here I attach example of the Rhino object that was imported to ZBrush and back, for your reference. Please if possible let me know what is the correct process steps, so that to get object from those software (mainly, Rhino) to Zbrush, sculpt and have it back with:
- same size
- not having hard edges lost (I don’t know crease in Rhino, so if I do in Rhino, I export OBJ to Maya, crease there and [ma] to Zbrush)
Thank you in advance
