Possible to slice model into equal parts? (cnc)

I’m experimenting with zbrush for creating relief models to be used to carve wood/acrylic, etc on a cnc router.

The default height which the router can cut is just 4 cm so I have been limited by this.

I was wondering if it’s possible to slice a model into equal parts (which then become subtools?) - That way I could export them separately and could carve a larger piece using separate models which I then glue together?

It’s important that the slices are equal eg all exactly 3 cm deep.

Thank you.

Make a brick that covers the area of the relief. Use Scale master to set it’s height to 3 cm. Duplicate and stack as many are needed to engulf the model. Then hide the bottom brick and run a (Live) Boolean to give 3 cm slice of your original model from the bottom. Then show the bottom brick and hide the one immediately above it and repeat the Boolean to get your next 3 cm slice immediately above. Repeat until the top brick is done.

If there are lots of bricks then hide all the odd numbered ones in the stack and Boolean. Then show them, hide the even numbered bricks in the stack and Boolean. All your pieces in two Boolean operations.

Thank you so much - I’ll give that a go.
