Posing makes character wrinkled?

Hello! I’ve been using zsphere rigging to pose my characters. However, when I try anything more complex, the characters get wrinkled, like this:

Is there any way to work around it? I really enjoy the process of posing like this rather than using the transpose line.
Thank you!

Hi @artistotel Welcome to ZBrush Central

Your mesh resolution is to high. If you are going to pose using rigging, it has to be done on a low subdivision level.

Thank you so much! I’m a total beginner.

I zremeshed it before posing, and while I lost some detail it made it sooooo much faster and simpler for my computer.

Is there also any other way to lower the subdivision levels? I know it’s probably a noob question so I’m sorry, but thank you so much for replying!

If you only had one subdivision level you could have tried “Reconstruct Subdiv” in “Tool > Geometry” (See image),but that will only work if you don’t have any triangles in the mesh or if you haven’t used ZRemesher. It’s always a good idea to keep all your subdivision levels until you are absolutely sure that you won’t need them anymore. You will probably have to use ZRemesher to get a reasonably low resolution for posing then subdivide the mesh for your detail, unless you can use an earlier iteration of the tool if you had one saved.
