Poser Setup Troubles

I have been trying to bone and pose some models I made in z-brush with Poser 5. I am having great difficulty. Every thime I try to pose my boned model it rips the mesh! Can anyone help me figure out how to do this right?

Thanks,

Shaun

Have you followed the bones tutorial in the Poser 5 manual?

Yes. The problem is that it says things like “Adjust the blend numbers to make the joint blend smoothly.” But it doesn’t say what the effect will be, what is a good number range to start with, does using spherical blending zones cancel out typeing in numbers… In AM you pick a bone and grab the verticies you want that bone to effect and your basicly done. No typeing. For a program that prides itself at poseing charecters easily they sure take a complicated approch.

Heh… I haven’t looked into that yet  If it is by numbers, that isn’t that bad a thing, since that means you have more accurate control. Still, I know what you mean- the Poser manual does leave out certain details. I take it the specific area in the manual about bones doesn’t shed any more light on it?

Hi,

Is a little tutorial that may help you understand how to set up blend zones with the joint editor. AKA, inclusion and exclusion angles.

Another one.

Best wishes.

Thank you mike, I need these tutorials as well…

Thanks! I paid for the program, I WILL get it to work for me.
