Poser help

hey,

In Poser, you know you can “superhero” your peoples’ bodies and make them more muscled? well, i have two characters, one is really muscled and one is really skinny, and when i try and put them in the same scene together, one of them converts his body type to the other.

Let me explain that better. Say i import my muscled-up man into a new document. Then i want to put another character, my skinny guy, in the same document. so i import him into the document w/ the muscled-up man. But then the skinny guy gets all muscled-up, even though it says he isn’t.

i hope this is clear to you guys.

You say that you’re importing the characters into the document? That could actually be the problem. Normally, additional characters are added to the scene by using the “Add Character” command from your Library Figures tab.

If you have to import the characters that you’re having problems with before you can use them, try doing them one at a time. After importing the first one, choose any folder from your Figures tab and click the “Add” button at the bottom of the tab. Then delete the figure from the scene, import the other character, and add him to the Library, too.

Now, you should be able to use the Double Check-Marks at the bottom of the Library tab to add the other character back into the scene as a unique entity.

Bear in mind that new figures appear at the same point. So until you move one out of the way, (X,Y & Z Translate dials), they will overlap.

Hope that this helps!

hey,

that didn’t seem to work, aurick. my muscled man turned out skinny again. i’ll keep messing around w/ it and hopefully can get it right. i might have done something wrong, so anyway…

if you have any more suggestions, please post 'em. thanks for all your help.

are your characters originally the same one??
I seem to recall people having this problem when putting two of the same character in a document I think it was figured out by someone it was a problem with the filenames
try renaming the object and cr2 file of one of your figures…
hope this helps
