Portrait study of Michael Shannon as his Boardwalk Empire character. Learned so much from Kris Costa’s Fly on the Wall bundle videos. Huge thanks to him as this was my first time completing a portrait. It’s not perfect, but will call this done for now as I’d like to move on. This project was a big challenge and I hope you all like the result!
Sculpted and textured in Zbrush. Rendering done using Arnold/Maya. Hair was created using Xgen. Marvelous Designer was used for clothes.
there is definitely a likeness to Michael Shannon in Boardwalk Empire, but something is off…may have to do with his face width? the second pic in your thread ressembles him most (imo). Nonetheless it’s good, likeness is very hard.
