Polypaint lines painted on model in R6 not useful in R7

I have a model that was made in R6 that has poly paint information ( basically just dark lines within grooves). It loads up fine and the polypaint is visible in the viewport. However even though the model has uvs I can’t transfer info to texture (comes out all black), I can’t mask from intensity, and it doesn’t follow the model to Keyshot. Ideas on how to fix this?

Not that I have allot of experience with this. But I had a thought… isn’t there a way to create a mask from paint? I would do that in 4R6 save out the mask, then apply it to the model in R7. Or make the poly paint a polygroup and that should do. This of course is a work around. There are still a few things broken in this r7 like curve brushes.

Thanks Gridlost, tried that, it doesn’t make a mask and doesn’t make polygroups. It could be just my file that’s screwy if other peeps aren’t experiencing this.
