Hi there, I was wondering if there is a way to paint different materials onto the same subtool? At the moment, each time i change the material, it changes it for the entire sub tool.
Thanks.

You can easily create multiple groups on the Subtool and hide them, select material and color then fill object. HTH.
Thanks for the reply, by groups you mean a separate polygroup?
You have to fill (Color > FillObject) a subtool with a material first, then you can select a different material to paint with.
I must be missing something because I’m still having the same issue. Im able to paint different colours on a sub tool, however when I go and pick another material ( after having filled the colour/material previously) it changes the material of the entire subtool.
You have to select either Mrgb (material and color) or Rgb (color only) or M (material only) first, before you fill the subtool. I usually fill with Mrgb. If you fill with Rgb only, the subtool will still have a live preview of the material changes.
