Polypaint and normal maps textures not aligned

Hi, i have been having this issue for quite a while and i have no clue about what might be causing this. The normal maps (generated using the multi-map exporter) and the polypaint textures are not aligned. For example, i make some gold ornaments on a red cape and the ornaments on the normals are not aligned(when overlapped in photoshop) with the gold color i used when i was painting in zbrush.
I was wondering if anyone could help me this fix this issue.

can you post some images of the issue? Maybe post your two maps?

Here are the maps. When i overlap them in photoshop, they just don’t match.
