Polygroups not shown on Zbrush

Hi there.

I made a face material selection on Maya to import my mesh into Zbrush and tthe faces are not reconized as Polygroups. Working with Zbrush 4R8 P1, any ideas ? It used to work before.

Cheers.

  1. Exporting from maya - select format and options

  2. Importing in Zbrush -(pre)select options for that format

  • Import mat IDs working for obj and fbx

  • Ctrl + hover mouse on polygroups buttons should give you enough informations on that subject

The import 3D mesh does not have options as far I know in Zbrush, only for formats. And how I import ID maps into Zbrush from Maya. It’s fairly simple what I need to do.

My mesh has textures in some faces so I can easily select/hide on Zbrush using polygroups. I used to do it like that and there was nothing to do after, Zbrush recognizes my faces with different textures as polygropus right after import.

I try with C4D also and same thing. So is not a Maya problem. I try Subtance painter and it works ok.

Maybe is a bug ?
