I have a model with six subtools. Each subtool has about 150,000 polys. I want to export the model to a different program with maps. I tried to use UV master to make maps for the subtools. It worked with two of the subtools, but not for the others. There is no significant difference in polycount. I get a generic error message ’ an error occurred during this process.’ Please let me know what I am missing.

Also - are there companies out there that offer short screenshare support sessions?

Errors during UV usually mean a corrupt mesh. In the Geometry palette, go to Modify Topology and click on Fix Mesh for the subtools giving the error message.

That last file never got resolved. I tried remeshing and repairing, but not dice. I am on to another file but running into trouble again. This time I am trying to export the file including polypainted subtools to Cinema 4D. I have tried multimap exporter and FBX exporter, but can’t seem to get it to work. GoZ does send over a version of the model (albeit low poly), but maps don’t export properly or at all. I am sure I am missing a step, but have followed a bunch of online tutorials and can’t figure out where I am going wrong.

I am still hoping to find a person or company that offers short screen sharing sessions. I constantly run into issues that probably could be resolved in five minutes if someone who knows the program were seeing what i was doing.

Again, if anyone has advice on finding this kind of service, please let me know. I would gladly pay a little bit of money to avoid wasting as much time as I waste hunting for answers.
