Plase Halp me - Import after editing with lattice in maya

Hey Guys

I did a search and i can’t find a thread about this, sorry if it’s a repeat.

So i made a female in zbrush, but the legs are too long. I exported level 1 subd and in maya i use a lattice to scale the legs shorter. I exported that geometry into zbrush into my model, and it asks if i want to transfer the high res details. Hell yeah i do so i hit yes.

This is where the problem is. When it transfers, most of the model is fine, but some areas around the feet and ankles moved up and most of the model is masked off. So the new model looks like crap, it looks like her lower legs are pushed through the bottom of the feet. Obviously it didnt transfer well. In zb 3.1 it would transfer based on vert order, im guessing 3.5 is raytraced transfer?

Is there no way to import an adjusted model back into zbrush 3.5. If not, this is terrible

I can fix this going through zb 3.1 i think, but that’s a poor solution.

Thanks ya’ll

Hello there nwargasm,

When you import a model and it gives you that message, that means your vert order has changed. If you import a model that has the same vert order, it will move everything like it did in zb3.1

God, i hate being an idiot. Something musta gotten changed. I went to my highest division level and deleted lower, rebuilt subd, and exported my lvl1, then scaled that in maya and imported it into my chain in zbrush and it worked fine.

Thanks everybodies
