what do you think?

Oh awesome!

I use Photoshop mainly, but am also well versed in Painter. Photoshop is significantly more smooth and intuitive. I only incorporate Painter for unique brushes and features because of this, even though I do still enjoy it as a whole.

It still comes in handy in almost every project, so I’ll keep it in the loop, but I’ve always known that Photoshop would one day surpass it’s brush technology, which is one of it’s only advantages. This is a good sign of that, which I’m happy to see because Photoshop is more in tune with the way I work.

Thanks for posting :+1:

think video is a scam, something terribly wrong.

the narrator is kinda bit over acting.

The updates are incredibly useless for most part and i hope
that the developers are ashamed by adobes update policy.
Then on the other hand… if theres nothing good left to add… watcha wanna
do!

haha, this video is extrymly funny, and i think it was suposed to be like that ;] But yeah, the updates really look useless ;/

In CS4 there were improvements for us artists in particular. Implementing the Open GL canvas was big. Drawing fast is incredibly smoother w/ open gl acceleration, and you can rotate and throw the canvas around. Multiple window management is much easier. There are less steps for many important things, and lots of great presets that are time in a bottle. I use both it and CS3 in different studios, and always miss CS4 when I’m not using it.

Now they’re not cheap updates, so if you don’t study or make use of the improvements, I can understand the irritation. Either way, Photoshop is the most useful and robust cornerstone app in the majority of graphic artists workflow. We’d all get to eat less without the innovations they’ve pioneered. I’m sure they’ve got more tricks in the bag.

That dude is Adobe’s Dr Russel Brown. If you fire up your Photoshops you’'ll see his name on the splash screen.

Russel Brown ?, i thought that dude name was
Steven Michael “Steve” Burns (born October 9, 1973) from blueclues Studios

No, no, you’ve been watching too much Nickleodeon (thought he died in 1998?).
