Hey guys, I’m modeling creatures inside zbrush, i have two questions related to camera distorsion, first, what should it be on to get close to Maya default camera settings ?
Secondly i can’t get it to work, how do you guys handle it ?
I personnaly draw my object, drop it on canvas than activate pers and slide to the value i want, but it doesn’t seem to work that way ?
What am i doing wrong, thx
Are you a PC or a Mac user? Perspective is not available in Edit mode for the PC. That feature is only available for Mac users until 2.5 comes out.
Hey Aurick, I’m a pc user, i tried distort not in edit mode but couldn’t figure it out, wherever i slide it doesn’t seem to affect my geo
THX
Use the Draw>Perspective options to apply perspective to your model. The gyro must be active in order for the changes to take effect. If the gyro isn’t active, then the model has already been dropped to the canvas and won’t be changed.
Hey Sleepwalker,
I have the same problem and its been causing me big headaches. Seems that I model in zbrush it looks great but when I take the model to maya it doesn’t look the same, it still looks good with all the detail and stuff but dosen’t match zbrush. I have tired changing the camera attributes in maya using a focal lenght of 50 etc but still cant match the zbrush look. Its getting to the point where I have to remodel in Maya to get it to look the same as zbrush and even then I have to reimport all the reference images and its a pain.
Cheers
