PERFORMANCE - Lower Res While Moving Model

Hi!

I know Zbrush has a function that reduces the model polycount view while moving it around. But I don’t know how to activate this. My pc is lagging a bit while moving the model. This would help. Does someone know how to activate it?

Thaks in advance!

It’s on by default, so unless you messed with it. It’s already on.

That being said, you can edit it by going under Preferences > Performance > QTransThreshold. If you set the slider to 0 it will auto go to the lowest sub d level of your model when you rotate.

Thanks a lot! I probably messed it :stuck_out_tongue:

If you’re using the latest version, if you click ‘dynamic’ on the SOLO button, your tool will only show the subtool that’s selected while panning, zooming, and rotating. So, if you select the lowest poly subtool, and position your model, you’ll only see that tool until you’re done moving it, they it all appears back. This definitely helps with processing power, and reduces lag a great deal. Hope this helps, if you didn’t already know.
