Just wondering if anyone knows of any reliable place in the UK that can do nice HD perfactory printing? So far I have found two companys online but they seem a bit rubbish with getting back to my emails.
Seems like the best are outside the UK, though postage and import VAT is a big stinger on those.
I have used Weston Beamor, they are excellent but a bit expensive. I have also used Gary at IPFL and hes a really good guy. What are you printing ? There are now alternatives to the perfactory depending on the level of detail you need. Just out of interest who did you find with perfactorys ?
Thanks for the info. I usually get a guy in the US to print who is great, though the postage and import VAT came to £60! That was for two 50mm tall head sculpts.
However, a 50mm head sculpt print in the US costs me around £40-£50 and most places in the UK as well as in china have quoted me £200! So think I will just stick with the guy in the US and try and get the postage down as it still works out much cheaper than the UK.
Thats a good price, any chance you could share your contact? I have been paying £80 for one 28mm figure printed at max resolution. The prints are the best I have ever seen but I am paying for it. I had stuff done on a projet 1200 and the first prints were rough but after a firmware update they were vastly improved I am hoping this printer will bring down the cost as you can get it for £4k and its really decent. My miniatures are very detailed and it captured it all.
I must have had quotes from around 30 printers, here in the uk, europe, and the US and the only people with a perfactory that were willing to do discounts for bulk prints were IPFL. I found anyone with a connection to the jewelry industry were very expensive.
