PeoplePoker Version D

[peoplepokermenu.JPG]

I was unable to edit my old thread, so I started a new one. See the old thread PeoplePokerfor more information and examples.

New with PeoplePoker Version D

Fixes:
Fixed Problem with Sizing

Enhancements:
Load: You can now load just a single Zsphere Tool without an incremental filename i.e. MyModel.ZTL.
You can now load Incremental Filenames with either a 1 digit or 2 digit index
i.e. MyModel1.ztl … MyModel9.ztl
or
MyModel01.ztl …MyModel15.ztl
Note: 1 digit and 2 digit indexes can not be mixed

GoToRef: Move Model to Last Reference Point. This might be needed when you switch to a different set of models that are scaled differently than the current sizing. Move a new model to the Reference point and then Size it to scale with the rest of the canvas. Then Press "Ref" to save the new scaling. This way you can keep everything related to a certain scale. Tile: Set Tile switch to on and use the Navigation arrows to place the models in a grid pattern left/right/up/down from the last. Use the "Spacing" slider to control the space between. A Spacing of 1 equals the height/width of object. You can use Rotate, Follow, or PointTo functions to further modify the positioning of the models. Record: Press SHIFT 'b' to select the simple brush and draw a brush stroke on the canvas where you wish to place your models. Then press the "Record" button to save the brush stroke. Draw: Put your models onto the canvas using the data from the recorded brush stroke. Spacing is determined by the Spacing Slider. You can use Rotate, Follow, or PointTo functions to further modify the positioning of the models. Spacing: Set the Spacing slider to modify the spacing used by the Tile or Draw functions. Setting of 1 = height/width of model. A setting of 2 equals height/width of the model X 2 Model Display: Shows the name of the Next model to be placed. Use the Fwd and Back buttons to scroll thru the model list to select the next model to be used.

Feel free to ask any questions. You don’t have to use people type models to poke, you can poke trees, mountains, skulls, hair or anything else you want to put on the canvas and scale them to the rest of the canvas according to zdepth.

Have fun you Pokers!

Wow, that looks amazing.
Thanks!

oh goody an almost new toy!!

now I am gonna have to combine this with zifworm I think…should be veddy interesting fun!

I was just reading that ol’ post last night after following a link - thinking what a clever idea with so many possible uses! (especially the auto sizing relating to ZDepth)

Over the years you’ve created such wonderful tools and this is no exception.

Thanks for sharing.

Keep taking the smart drugs.

I salute you.

Tell me, how did you come up with that peculiar and mischevious name?

Maybe a shuffler card player repentant

Ps Neat Pluging in constant adding progress possibilities :+1:

Great, wonderful, thank you!

People Poker ROCKS!

Currently we are trying it out to poke foliage onto shrubs! First results look great!

As usually Digits, very nice tool, thx for “braining” and sharing your work.

may the force be with you…

really cool idea.

i’ll try that ASAP

I’m really glad to see this hit the top row. :+1: :+1: I think a lot of people haven’t realized its full potential. It’s great for placing anything : people, trees, houses, rocks, cream buns…

Wow…u can’t imagine how much usefull this will be …Thank U. :+1: :+1:

Thanks bunches for the update!! Really appreciate the work and scripts you do!!

Quick question… would it be possible to add a button which would lead to the fact that each placed item would be ‘marked’ ??? So in the end, after a session of happy poking I could use the multimarker tool and create a polymesh which would include all the objects placed by the poker… Then export that as .obj and import the bag of toy’s into XSI where all is nicely separated again because of the unique poly groups assigned by the MM.

I have not experimented with the Marker Master while using the PeoplePoker… I fear the pixol’s would run out of my power supply again… What a mess that was last time it happened.

Is that possible?
(Jumping up and down… please daddy please daddy…)

Good idea Lemonado, your wish is my command.

Just turn Mark ON and every thing you poke will generate a Marker. Word of caution if you are using High Density models the polymesh you will create may become huge.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Wheeeeeeeeeeee:lol:
I’ll test it right after lunch. This will be fun!
Thanks a million!
LemonNado

PS:THAT will test XSI5’s new giga core technology lol. Let’s see what I can unleash…

cool. more fun stuff to test drive.

Digits cool plugin:)

I do not know if this can be done with the plugin please let me know.
I have loaded a tree ztl which I saved as an obj then re-loaded into zbrush. I created a ztl like sprial that I load in the plugin and it works cool - places the celtic like circle onto the tree. However I can not get the tree and the model used with the plugin to become a ztl. How do you do this?

Apologies to Digits for my butting in here - I don’t think you can do what you want with PeoplePoker unless you mark as you go, but you can do it with MarkerMaster (see my signature). Basically you need to mark the tree, and all the spirals as you go, then use the Multimarkers tool to make a composite mesh. My plugin makes the whole process relatively painless.

I don’t know if this is possible, but you might want to try running the script while the model is dropped in projection master.

Hi guys

Thanks for the continued interest. Actually I posted a version on page 1 of this thread that will create a marker for every Poke.

Good idea Lemonado, your wish is my command.

Just turn Mark ON and every thing you poke will generate a Marker. Word of caution if you are using High Density models the polymesh you will create may become huge. Thanks for the suggestion.

Give that a try and see if it works for you. As I mentioned you will have to experiment because your obj file mayperhapspossibly become to huge to handle. Let me know how it works out
