Next year I’ll become a Zbrush mentor teaching Zbrush one on one a couple of hours a week.
Does anyone have an idea of what would be an appropriate salary for a job like this?
You could check how much these guys are getting for that kind of job:

I suppose you could also Google stuff like ZBrush tutor, ZBrush classes, etc.
I have a question too. How do you become a ZBrush mentor? Training, school, courses or something like that or someone just hires you to be one?
Thanks, I’ll check those out!
Well, I’m not a “professional” Zbrush mentor, in this case a guy just hired me to get some personal training and coaching.
But i guess there are programs you could take to become one “officially”.
Santis:
Teaching Zbrush to someone doesn’t require a lot of time, especially if just for sculpting.
But what a lot of people don’t seem to understand is that knowing just zbrush doesn’t mean they can actually sculpt or create valid designs.
Same thing teaching how to sculpt traditionally.
You can teach a student how to use clay and tools in less than a week but he/she could take years to create something valid.
If I can give you a professional advice, you should make sure that the person who wants to learn zbrush can actually sculpt or draw regardless the media cause otherwise it will be a waste of time for you and a waste of money for him/her.
Nevertheless, good luck with the teaching and Merry Xmas
Fabrizio B.
Thanks a lot for your input
I totally agree with you, and I have tought about the issue myself.
I’m not sure about the persons artistic level, and I will emphasize this as I teach him the more software specific teory.
I will give him advises on how to expand his artistic abillity and really try getting the message across that you won’t be a good artist just by knowing the software.
But knowing the software is a must, and that’s what I’m going to teach him, the rest will be up to him.
