partly to aurick

Ok, this is a multi purpose post:

first and foremost it goes out to aurick, the man that can stand even folks like me without risking mental health: thank you for your patience, Matthew!! And, and btw: THIS is the one that caused this crash!! We call it a “Gilb” - when he strikes (beardwise)>> it’s terrible!!

then this is for bonecradle because I doubt that he believed that Brian tought me how to see THEM: had to be quick about it - they blink in and out that fast, you have to look real carefully!!

last this is not exactly for stonecutter but for something he said about art and computers in general: right, but I do not think that the message went to the right place!!

Ok, so for all of “them” (few enough): here is one of “Them” - just call her feary

Oops, almost forgot: Fouad: not edited- comments??

EDIT: this post was heavily edited, but only for some wrong spellings - thnk I made it even worse!

Next paycheck, he finds this in the envelope.
Beautiful work, why over here?
Non Zbrush?

Why here? To be sure, I like BIG audience for all I do (apologize, accuse, mumble strange thoughts<<<>>> these kind of things) but: I thought this drawer of the forum a bit more personal, more relaxed.

And your question about “is it ZBrush or is it not?” - well, lately I found that there are some very gifted members out here: they can tell you the presence of ZBrush only by smelling at the pic!! So: why not ask them!?
Such an astounding talent should not be wasted!!

Hi Ze
Happy to see that you refind the sister of the beared women

Pilou
Ps It’s a photo not Zbrush

Pi: you got it wrong >> reading my edited post you will see that it is called a “he” and later a “her”.
This might point out that it is a hermaphrodite (look at them run for the dictionary   ), but it is more due to the fact that “them” are very shy, quick moving folks. Most ppl don’t believe that they exist. Another reason why I am THAT proud of my scribble!

Concerning your “foto”: i do need the expertise to be quite sure what I should do next:
a: blame you for cheating
b: bow to your ability to ALWAYS (arrrgh  )find the right link/pic to answer even the queerest post!
So, if any of our dear experts could have a short sniff!?!?

In fact they were true twin and their mother can’t detail them!
So with this false bear for one all should be more easy
What a wonderful story isn’t it ?
Pilou
And what is these “he” and “her”? Please re read my previous post
Yes I am totaly joker

 Zerebrush.

I really love your pic !!!
may be if I have a time… and with your permission, I will try to modelise it…
Congratulation !
:+1: :+1: :+1:

very kewl character…very mischievous looking. :+1:

@fouad: thank you (glad you recovered!! ), and: no permission needed to do ANYthing with/to this sketch (if you “need” any other, just say so!!).

@ron: it’s a mythologic thing, you can’t imagine HOW mischievous this one can be (just ask my HDD  )!!

@Pilou: that IS a wonderful story, LOTS of possibilities!
And “he” is used normally to adress “him”, while “her” is used for “she” - weird thing this English - even for a language   !!

sniff sniff

I detect hints of nettle and nut, bramble and bracken, and tobacco and tea. A fine body, head, bouque and after taste :+1:

Can I choose which part is mine? If so, I choose the ZBrush part :stuck_out_tongue:

Belief sits awkwardly on my shoulders. I prefer to look and wonder.

Back in the days when I played online games (UO) I had a character called (and styled after) the Bearded Lady. Ah, such frivolity

Have you ever seen The Fairie Feller’s Masterstroke by Richard Dadd. It’s in the Tate and worth a squizz. He whiled away his madness in Bethlam (Bedlam) hospital painting it. I’m glad he did, though his father probably wasn’t

Hi Bone
Cool picture that you link
You right : just frivolity
Pilou
@Ze Thx for the lexicall lesson
But I was just only say something like “what is this story?”

Bonecradle: comes from to much Bosch, I think!!(Dadd’s)
But, for this one it might be ill advised to take the ZBrush-part - you MIGHT end up with nothing  !!

Pilou: NO frivolity here, just some tales that every wetnurse would know!

Couldn’t get “frivolity” out of me brains: tried, but I guess I failed:

As you can plainly see, heshe presents a bushel of rtyerfruit - for whatever reason!
Ok, will not bother you again - unless I’ve mastered frivolity  !

Well, it may not ‘exactly’ be for me, but thanks for posting a piece that has no dependence on any particular software, and stands on its own, Z! :+1:

(And the line quality of this piece is wonderful…It’s strong, and yet has the delicacy of a ‘silverpoint’ drawing! Very nice work… :+1: :sunglasses: :+1: )

Stonecutter: i am really glad that you like this sketch because: noone can divide the man from what he said - it’s for your remark about arts inspite or because of computers and software. Why this might be so important? Well I strongly believe that of every 100 customers that bought Painter or the like - that of all this people only a third (roughly) would have bought some new oils, pencils or drawing paper - determinded to do “art”.

Anyway, whenever I show some pics around >> it’s always to early for them, and only a few of those pics will be finished. So, thank you for your kind words!!

And btw: it is still ment to be fun!!

Hi Ze
It’s the comments who were frivolities, not the drawing !
This last one is some original indeed
So many influence and great philosophy of the gift
No, I am waiting the foot
Have fun!
Pilou

While out looking for other things, I came across this site

They have free PDFs (on the left-hand side) of 19th century books on fairies and goblins and such like. Mostly words I’m afraid, but interesting none-the-less.

@Pilou: the comments - well it took me some time to have it this way, there have been other versions (those with the average lynch mob included :D). So it is condensed down to the truth as I am able to see it.
And for philosophy: merely fun, but there is a whole lot of background to them faeries, some of this is surely worth some “heavy thinking” - stuff some might consider “philosophic”.
Feet >> not in this pic - it’s some kind of wonder that I got the image this far: you must take in account the overall height of the normal faery, which starts at plain “0” and reaches up to … well: much!! Standing in high grass you will not see them at all!!

@bonecradle: thank you for the link - there ALWAYS will be some books worth reading!!
The fun thing about it: some ppl would describe faeries something similar to children, nice & clean - sometimes very near to kitsch. You see, I am a Froudian  and can’t bring myself to see them fae’s emerging from underneath a tree-stump or the like clean and somewhat “shiny”. I love them gnarled, mishapen and weird :D.

@Ze
Froudian = very near freudian
Pilou
Ps Is this One a cousin ?

  Comes near, allthough I would see some slight differences there (Froud/Freud), not only in spelling.

For the link: not exactly, your link shows another tribe, they are 3D while mine are only visible from up front: if they (or you) turn about 90° (either side): they’re gone!!
It’s one reason most ppl don’t see them if they look down on them!!
