Parallels Desktop for Mac and Ram limits...?

Anyone managed to get Parallels Desktop for Mac (v3.0) to use more than 0.9-1.2 GB of Ram? (Or the max 1.5GB the preference slider will go to for that matter?) It seems this is the max allocation I can use which is rather dissapointing considering I’m running it on a Mac Pro with 16GB Ram available.

Hoping that once Leopard comes out a full 64bit version of zBrush3 won’t be long in the coming.

Parallels currently has a 1.5GB VM-limit.

In Bootcamp, you should probably be able to get up to 4GB on WinXP.

Hi Kerwin,

thanks for replying. Shame to hear about the 1.5GB limit. I hope they’ll be able to get rid of that soon.
Bootcamp is fine indeed. No problems there ('cept for the annoying rebooting. ).

I’m toying with the idea to try out WinXP64…
