Interesting. The model’s smooth rounding into the creases and the colouring makes it look like driftwood worn by the sea. It could almost be th figurehead of a sunken ship!

Why Photoshop? Have a go at painting over right there in ZBrush!

Cheers,

R

I dont like the first one, theres too much going on on his neck and face, i cant tell if his head is turned 360 degres, the perspective is broken and the shadows make no sense O_o I think you overdid it there ;]
But the second one is great, i really like it ;]

I really like the second one. I’d love to see a time lapse video of you doing the speed sculpt and overpaint.

Agree that the second one is very cool.

I like the first one a lot actually, the details are great. I also think the neck looks too twisted though. The part which gives the impression of being the sternocleidomastoid flows too far back, and so it looks like his head should be turned more. Maybe just make it not twist as much, it’s still cool either way.

A time lapse video would be nice.

Thank you for your comments. I will work on the neck and perspective of the character in the first painting. Here is another:
Transpose models and render with multiple Matcaps.
Some paint-over in ZB but mostly in PS.
