Painting logos and maps

Sorry if this has been asked already guys. I searched but nothing.

The whole time I’ve used Z2 I’ve been working out displacement issues and I haven’t touched texturing or painting at all. So can someone point me to some good help on this? Specifically I need to be able to place logo’s on a model’s texture. Imagine a badge on a jacket sleve.

Thanks chaps

Thanks Frenchy. I’m looking for more of an in-viewport approach. The model I have has AUV mapping so it’s completely unusable in PS.

I figured there would be a way to copy and paste a logo like how BodyPaint works. Very handy feature.

It’s very easy to do what you’d like to do. Here’s how:

:small_orange_diamond: :small_orange_diamond: Rotate your model to the desired angle and activate Projection Master. Drop the model to the canvas.
:small_orange_diamond: :small_orange_diamond: Select the Plane3D tool and turn off Zadd
:small_orange_diamond: :small_orange_diamond: Import your logo as a texture, which will be applied to the plane.
:small_orange_diamond: :small_orange_diamond: Draw the plane on the canvas and use the gyro to move/scale/rotate it into position. Using a low Rgb Intensity will let you see through to the model underneath, and then you can increase it to 100 when it’s right.
:small_orange_diamond: :small_orange_diamond: Use Projection Master to pick the model back up again.

You could also use the Simple Brush with Alpha 00 and the DragRectangle stroke type. Remember that strokes are now editable after you paint them, so you can move the logo into position after drawing it.

For really interesting effects, you can also use the Deco brush.

As you can see, you’ve got several choices with Z2.

Thanks Matthew. I owe you a beer.
