Paint an Emblem/Logo Leveled and Centered

Hello. I’m trying figure out how to paint an emblem/logo on a mesh. I tried to make a mask with my emblem as an alpha using the DragRect Stroke, but it’s hard to control the orientation of the mask to make it perfectly level. I also tried using the same mask alpha with a DragDot Stroke, but that is even harder to control the orientation, it seems so random. Am I missing some snapping feature?

If you had to paint an emblem/logo on an object and it needed to be level and centered how would you do it?

While holding down Ctrl ,select the DragRect Stroke and your Alpha. Draw it out off of the mesh on a blank part of the canvas. You can draw it to the size you want and it will stay at 90 degrees. Do not let go of Ctrl. While still holding down Ctrl, hold the Space Bar down to move it over the mesh. While still holding down Ctrl, you can let go of the Space Bar to scale it again, press Space Bar to move it again.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. It was a great help. I also found that Stencil, Spotlight, and Zapplink are powerful tools for placing things as well.
