Orc Shaman

Started roughing in a new character now that my schedule has been slowing down a little. I going for this obserdly weighed down Orc Shamon that carrys everything but the kitchen sink on his back. Of course a staff and a sword is needed to give him even more of a wow effect.
Right now this is just my getting all the pieces around faze.

And now detail detail detail…

Go ahead Man and thanks for you fantastic tutorials… :+1:

Ok Man! I can’t wait to see more…:+1:  :+1:

Step 4 What not to wear

So when dressing an orc shaman you have to think last years fashions are definitely out of the question.
The Prefer leather and animal skins so PETA is always a main concern

Step 6
A orc is nothing without his support staff

Note to anyone- Ya deformation pallet is virtualy useless
Well no I take that back, by adjusting any slider I guess it makes a good shortcut to the
ALT CTL DEL/ Zbrush 3/ End task

good game character i particluary like his axe, the model concept
is nice too :+1:

this is so cool, great job =)

Good work.

Cool Man! Go Ahead… :+1:

Thanks everyone
Hello Yari I still have your cat at a background;)

Step 7
Design a backpack to hold all his junk

Step 8

Poly painting all the little tiny sub tools.
Had to dress up all the leather belts in the scene also
Next step is some matte painting for the background and foreground
I find myself killing most of my Zbrush work with way to much detail only to lose most of it in Depth of field. In an Illustration everything in focus with total detail is about as thrilling as looking at a blue print.

DOH his sword or axe!!!
Ok the only way to truly see flaws in your work is post it here in the forum !!!
welp off to make a stone sword of axe;)

Step 9
When designing a fantasy weapon think to yourself “would that hurt”.

Do you record the tuto? Eh?
Very good… :+1:

Step 10
Sword check!
Render check!
Wheres the lighting you ask?
Well since mat cap materials do not act well with lighting Its on to Photoshop for some Mat- Painting

Nope have not recorded any of the modeling stuff thats all been documented in older videos. But the mat painting will be covered sometime next week as a tut

Very good work Man! :+1:

Step 11
Now we paint a happy little tree, with a happy little sunset and a happy little orc with a serrated sword all these wonderful little creatures. (Bob Ross impression;)

Just a little playing around with color and lighting heres my thumbnail;)
