I initially made the attached model from Zspheres and did some sculpting. I left the feet for last, and realized that I need to make the toes much closer, but I ended up severly deforming them. Is there anyway to redo the feet without redoing the rest of the model?
the same is true for hands. I just clicked Reconstruck Subdivision to get the hands and feet to a base level that I could make gross adjustments to. however the rest of the model is like 200 polygons (exagerating a little). I now have to work at different levels for hands/feet than the rest of the model for what should be the same level of sculpting detail.
I guess i can retopo the whole thing once I am done? …still need to learn about that.
you should actually retopo before you’re “done”. At least that is the case in my experience. Zspheres are to get you started. They are by no means the end all be all. I typically do a mid level sculpt from a Zsphere, retopo, and then finish the piece.
so maybe finish up the head which is last part, and then retopo and continue sculpting? If I retopo, I have to do the ENTIRE figure, right? I can’t just do part of it?
The good thing is u can!
It requires you to use the lowest subd level tho or the level you want after retopo.
You set up your model for retopology turn your z intensity all the way up
and pick a large brush size.
Now you hold down shift and just hoover over your model with pressed down
left mouse button.
Now it just adapts the topology u have already.
Then u simply delete the parts where u want a higher or lower density
and redo them<img src=“http://www.zbrushcentral.com/upload/atn.gif”>
