Semi-newbie here.

13 years ago I made the head of a dragon in Sculptris and I’ve decided to finally complete the whole dragon in Z-Brush. It’s going well, but I’m a bit stumped trying to figure out how to separate the lips so that I can create the inside of the mouth. I have an idea of using booleans, but I don’t know how to create a boolean object that perfectly follows the shape of the mouth.

I would create the boolean objects in 3DS Max, but GoZ doesn’t seem to be working for me.

Is anyone aware of a tutorial that might guide me?

Thanks!

Ah, I seem to have found the answer:

Subtool Palette → Split Masked
Geometry Palette → Modify Topology → Close holes
