Open GL Help (Mac Bootcamp)

Greetings,

I am running Zbrush on Macbook w/Windows XP SP2 via Bootcamp. My graphics card is an Intel 945GM. I am would really like to use Zmapper, but I know there are OpenGL problems.

I have tried searching the forum, but I have been unable to find a definitive answer as to whether it is impossible to run Zmapper on a machine like mine, or whether I simply need to update my drivers. Does anyone know?

If it is a driver problem, can anyone link me to the appropriate drivers (open gl confuses me)? If it is impossible to run Zmapper, is there an alternative workflow to bring a normal map into Maya?

Thanks so much!

From browsing some gaming web sites, I gather that OpenGL can run on my machine, but I have no idea why Zmapper won’t work.

bump for help?

What error message do you receive?

sorry!

i get the old:

“GL_EXT_texure_env_dot3 support”

and

“GL_Invalid_Enum”

errors.

I have a Toshiba Tablet PC which has the same Intel 945gm chipset. I was wondering if you have found a solution to the opengl issue yet.

I get the same error “gl_invalid_enum:”

Bump.

I’m glad info is out on what’s causing the problem.

Funny thing is, when I bought my tablet PC I’m pretty sure that I made sure that it was Open GL 2.0… that’s what’s required for After Effects (or was when I purchased…)

If the graphics chipset isn’t 2.0 compliant (and I can find the documentation), I think I’ll take a trip to Best Buy and excercise my extended warranty.

It’s running a 82852/82855 Intel Graphics Controller.
