also, he has no teeth! =)
(for this one, i just wanted to look a little closer at materials and light setup)

nice render

i liked the light setup on the left one
maybe you can tell us about it and the material you used.

Doron

woa, can you animate it ? Or does the mesh stay that way ?, either way it is realy good

it is quite nice indeed but i do think it needs some refining.

the neck needs some work and the eyeregion is not ok yet.
nice wrinkles. If you spend some more time adding details youll get better results.
Also add some noise to the skin it ll look more realistic:+1: :+1:

nb: u can make the hair look more realistic (see the zcript of the fiber brush!!!).

thanks!
there’s no skeleton in there, so it’s just a static mesh.
as for the material, i played around a lot with the cavity settings (like so many others have done), self-illumination, specular settings and so on. the light is a mix between a backlight (radial light set to illuminate the edges) and others. not really that fancy.

mindsculptor: cool, yeah i’ll take a look at those things! i haven’t really looked much at the fiber brush yet, since I’ve mainly been using Z for 3d stuff (i’m under the impression that you can’t use the fiber brush for that kinda work, right?) … anyways, i’ll have a look at the script you mentioned.
also, you’re right about the eye region. I guess I should insert a sphere there somehow, but I’m not sure how to go about that exactly, and keep my tool editable? can you combine tools (head + two spheres) to make up a new one?
