Just wondering if there is any way to get the old Zbrush 2 adaptive skin to work when rotating zspheres. What i mean is that you can sculpt on the skin and switch back to zspheres and pose and then back to the skin which maintains the sculpted details.
I know rigging is an option but without any way to paint weights (polygroups choice would be a good way about that) i can’t get the mesh to deform properly, definitely not the same as a skin that was made from the zspheres.
Hi @spaceboy412
If I’m understanding you correctly, turning on “Use Classic Skinning” in the “Adaptive Skin” sub-palette should allow you to sculpt on the adaptive skin preview and maintain that when switching back to zspheres.
It only does as long as you don’t rotate certain zspheres or rotate them more than a few degrees, the old ZB2 method didn’t have this issue, if i remember correctly, thank you.
