Lovely!

If I may ask: How are the NPR render settings made? How would a ZB user make their own? Are they ported in from an outside program, like Filter Forge, or are they perhaps Photoshop compatible filters?

Thanks Rosemaryr! Check out the first hour of the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgQ3uAQ8U6c

Thank you! I caught the last part of the Live Stream event, but didn’t get to it in time for that particular portion. That certainly will be useful to me, as I have a bit more experience with Photoshop filter play.

Again, thank you!

Just a note: the .rar file, that is packaged inside the .zip file for your filters, seems to be ‘broken’ or ‘invalid’ when I try to open it.

Check out you uncompressor, there isn’t any .rar inside of a zip, you just download one .rar file

I tried the download several times
all that shows is a .zip file.

Opening that shows the .rar file

Trying to open that gives the error:

Edit:

I even tried to right-click and change the original download file type manually to .rar format, But it still ended up with an enclosed .rar file that wouldn’t uncompress.

Looks like that you haven’t got the winrar ap installed, here you can download the .zip format: zip

Thank you for the Dropbox .zip file. That worked well, and I have the working ZBrush files now.

(However, I do have the winrar ap, and have successfully opened other downloaded .rar files with it. I don’t know why this case was different, so I just wanted to let you know, so you could check things at your end.)

this looks great, thank you!

Hi! this is another test of NPR filter, something close to a watery ink effect on cardboard
Here you can download the .zrp fie: WateryInk

Thanks for sharing! The design is interesting, If I observed someone wearing that I’d be quite intrigued.
I was thinking some0ne at ZBC should start a Repository (like the one for IMM Brushes) for NPR, Curve settings, VDM brushes, etc.

Graande Nachoooo!! No paras !! Me alegrooo

sadicus: thanks! Yes it could be a good idea
Gracias Fausto!!

Thank you very much for these excellent NPR filters! I am trying to render an 8K image using JewelryV1 and filter number 7 (cardboard) is tiling:
BigJewelV1_proc_proc.jpg

Where can I find this image in order to resize and rotate it? The filter lists the image as a 23 character alphanumeric file name that’s 4992x3328 pixels - but I can’t locate it

CWR63, thanks! glad you like them! To set up the background image, on Filter number 7 adjust the Texture Overlay value to 0, hope that helps

That’s what I ended up doing, but that negates an important part of the NPR filter - it doesn’t look as good. I was just wondering whether that image was embedded in your filter, or drawing from texture files that shipped with Zbrush 2019, or was available somewhere on the internet? If all else fails, I guess I could render out a blank scene at the canvas resolution of the texture, but that might be missing some crucial element of the image, like color values.

Unless adjusting to 0 is different from turning it off
which is what I did
?
