Newbie here, so I’m clearly missing something.
I’m currently taking a 3D modeling class, and one of our exercises entailed taking an .obj from Maya into ZBrush, modifying it, exporting a set of Normal Maps, exporting the modified .obj and taking them all back into Maya and applying the Normal map there.
Everything worked as it was supposed to on the classroom computer. I also acquired a copy of the educational version of ZBrush, and it worked as it was supposed to at home, too.
Now I’m trying to do the same with an element in my final project, and the panel for exporting Normal Maps is greyed out. How do I get it back? I’ve taken the tool back to it’s lowest form of subdivision, as we did in the exercise. I’m in Edit mode. What am I missing?
Running ZBrush 4.7 in 64-bit mode on a 2015 iMac running Sierra.
Would appreciate whatever help I can get.
