normal map zero value

hi,

I am using normals maps right now, but so far there is some weird problem, the zero value is R 0.5, G 0.49998.B 0.99998…

by definition theese values should be 0.5, 0.5, 1… is there any way to get zbrush to make it that way, I tested ADE and zmapper so far…

How are you determining these values? Are you opening the map in Photoshop to do so? If so, are you ensuring that automatic color adjustments is turned off? This feature is on in Photoshop by default.
